Luckily there was enough pigment in both smoky quartz elements i’ve received to be recognizable as smoky quartz. Too ocd for the imperfectly shaped dome as the light reflects off of it strangely. Transparent elements being improperly cut/polished for the setting is wayyy too noticeable.

I’m extremely picky about my crystals. The shape of the first one that arrived drove me crazy because it wasn’t cut/polished properly which affected the way light reflected off/through the crystal. exchanged and the replacement also had an issue, but was less pronounced so i let it be.
