Our mission at CONQUERing is to help people feel empowered and we're all about sharing positivity and encouragement with as many people as possible. This braille fidget ring element is for those in our community who are blind or partially sighted or for those who want to show support to those who are visually impaired.
This listing is a braille fidget ring, with 5 word choices: Breathe, CONQUER, Enough., LOVED, or STRONG.
First, here is a detailed explanation of how our jewelry works:
Our fidget jewelry is comprised of two parts, a U-shaped base and a coin-shaped element that clicks into the base to form a ring or necklace pendant. To make a complete piece of jewelry, you will need to select a base (ring or necklace) and an element.
All of our jewelry is interchangeable -- all elements fit into all ring and necklace bases.
This listing is for our 5 silver braille element that say a word in grade 2 braille on one side and in text on the other.
The letters on this element are stacked and rotated 90 degrees to allow your finger to read the letters without bumping into the tips of the ring or pendant base. When worn as a ring, the letters are to be read along the finger from fingertip to hand in two rows (not side-to-side). When worn as a necklace it should be read top to bottom in two rows.
Besides simply wearing our beautiful jewelry and reading the empowering message, many of our customers find fidgeting with our jewelry helps them feel calm and focused. The two most common ways to fidget with our jewelry are to spin it and to click it.
Spinning it is as simple as taking it off your hand and giving the element a flick. (Or simply flicking it if you're wearing it as a necklace.) While it's fun to simply spin it as a fidget for yourself, if you show a sighted friend or family member, they will see the text translation show through amidst the braille from the other side.
To click our jewelry, you will essentially be popping one side of the element in and out of the base. This can be done in many ways but here are the two most popular:
1) You can slide the ring up near your knuckle and press on the element to pop one side out of the base. Then, if you bend your finger with the ring on it, it will pop the element back in place.
2) If you wear your ring on your index finger (a very common choice with our rings), you can rotate the ring on your finger toward your thumb, and then use your thumb to press on one side of the element to pop it out of the base and then use your thumb to press on the tip of the base to pop it back in. This is a great one-handed way to click. Pro tip: move your middle finger down toward your palm slightly to brace the back of the ring base when clicking this way.
