CONQUERing Celebrates World Sight Day With Launch of Braille Jewelry

New inclusive design offers the blind community stylish, accessible rings and necklaces

CONQUERing® today announced the release of a new braille collection in its line of inspiring fidget jewelry. The recently launched rings and necklaces feature uplifting phrases written in braille that empower the wearer to conquer their day.

The idea for a braille design was first proposed by customers during a TikTok livestream with Founder and CEO, Tammy Nelson. Without hesitation, Nelson and her son, Jake, began designing a braille prototype and enlisted the support of a blind member of the CONQUERing community, Ashley Eisenmenger.

Co-Creator and Product Marketing Manager Jake Nelson says, "Admittedly, I knew very little about braille before embarking on this project. We struggled during our first attempt to fit all of the symbols on the spinner face. However, after consulting with Ashley, we modified the design to include grade 2 braille in a stacked configuration, which allowed us to increase the size of each symbol and ensure the message could be understood."

Jake Nelson worked closely with Eisenmenger to create the first prototype and shape the final product design. Eisenmenger says, "Most jewelry is designed with the idea that customers can see the finished piece. As a blind person, I know the world hasn't been designed for me, but to know that this jewelry was created specifically with the blind community in mind is not only refreshing, but it also shows the priority CONQUERing places on accessibility and inclusion."

The braille collection currently features the uplifting phrase "LOVED," which is now available on silver rings and necklaces. CONQUERing plans to release additional phrases including "Enough" and "Strong" and will donate a portion of the October proceeds from the braille collection to The National Federation of the Blind.

Jake Nelson is excited to continue exploring new jewelry designs and empowering customers from all backgrounds. He says, "I can't wait to see how our customers react to the new braille design. I'm proud to offer a truly unique piece of jewelry that will comfort and inspire a community that is too often overlooked."
