A Guide to Finding Your Personal Jewelry Style

CONQUERing is all about self-expression and individuality. We have such a wide range of interchangeable jewelry because we know that every person who finds our brand has a different sense of style. We find that it's important for our customers to feel empowered to use our fidget jewelry to express themselves.

Rather than share our advice on how to uncover your personal style with interchangeable jewelry, we decided to turn to an expert to spill her styling secrets. No one knows jewelry styling better than a CONQUERing SuperFan!

Meet Allenah Joy: Interchangeable Jewelry Styling Expert

We turned to the CONQUERing community to share their advice on using jewelry to express yourself. Allenah Joy is a CONQUERing SuperFan that is very active in our fidget jewelry community.

From sharing her rings of the day with other SuperFans to her encouragement of new customers to start building their jewelry collection, there is no one better suited to walk through finding your personal style through your jewelry.

Allenah found CONQUERing organically when she was scrolling through her feed on social media. As someone with anxiety, Allenah knew she needed something discreet that could help calm her down when anxious feelings started to creep up.

"I thought I was just buying a ring, but the rest was history. Fast forward to today, and somehow my collection has grown to over 200 elements with absolutely no plans of slowing down anytime soon!"

We asked Allenah a few questions about how she's established her personal style, what her favorite pieces are, and any final pieces of advice she has for people looking to style their jewelry with intention.

Tips and Tricks for Jewelry Styling

Allenah told us she's really started discovering and establishing her personal style over the past few months. Some life changes have made her rethink what her personal style is and what makes her feel most confident. When it comes to styling jewelry, it's not about what's trending; it's about what makes you feel most like yourself.

What Influences Your Personal Style?

When asked about what influences her personal style, Allenah told us that a lot of times it's what she feels drawn to. Recently, that's meant wearing clothes, jewelry, and makeup that feels whimsical, vintage, and like it's curated just for her.

"I try to be as authentically myself as I know how to be. I'm still figuring myself out, but every day I learn more about what feels like me. That's one of the reasons I love CONQUERing so much. As I grow and my style evolves, my jewelry gets to evolve right alongside me."

The interchangeable nature of our jewelry has opened up an opportunity for Allenah to really experiment with her jewelry. She's able to swap in different elements to refresh an outfit without needing to buy any new jewelry. The more she's built her jewelry collection has given her more flexibility to try new styles over time.

Choosing which element she'll wear has become a self-expression ritual for Allenah. She's able to choose elements that reflect how she's feeling that day and what inspiration she might need to conquer her day.

5 Ways to Discover Your Personal Jewelry Style

We also wanted to know what advice Allenah has for someone who is just starting to experiment with their fidget jewelry to uncover their personal style.

These 5 pieces of advice are a great starting place for anyone looking to establish their personal jewelry style:

  1. Start with one signature piece. Allenah takes her styling piece by piece to avoid decision paralysis. She'll start with a focal point (for her that's usually her Wishbone Necklace) and then will build out from there.
  2. Experiment with unexpected color combinations. She told us experimentation is truly one of the best parts of wearing interchangeable jewelry. She's recently been challenging herself to try color combinations that she wouldn't have considered before, which has led her to some of her favorite jewelry stacks.
  3. Dress for your mood, not for trends. At the end of the day, trends aren't always going to reflect your personal style. You should always prioritize picking jewelry that makes you feel confident and that reflects who you truly are.
  4. Build your collection over time. With interchangeable jewelry, the possibilities truly do feel endless. Allenah took her time and built her collection to include pieces that bring her joy and represent who she is. It can be tempting to buy a bunch of elements all at once, but it's important to think about what you actually like and what styles you want to experiment with.
  5. Don't overthink. She's stressed the importance of just having fun with experimentation. There aren't any established rules to live by when it comes to wearing jewelry. She advises the CONQUERing community to wear as much or as little as they want. To mix colors, patterns, and metals. Deciding what jewelry to wear shouldn't be a cause of stress—it should be fun!

Jewelry Favorites that Reflect Your Personality

To help us better understand Allenah's personal style and who she is as a person, we needed to know more about what fidget jewelry she gravitates to and how her jewelry makes her feel. Her responses were inspiring and encouraged me to think about the jewelry I own a little differently.

How Does Fidget Jewelry Make You Feel?

While it might not seem like it, jewelry actually holds a lot of meaning. If you were to ask anyone about their favorite pieces of jewelry, there is likely an accompanying story that helps you understand why that jewelry means so much to them.

Jewelry can remind us of loved ones, of the hardships we've overcome, and of the immense strength we all possess. For Allenah, what she thought as just buying jewelry actually ended up changing her life.

She told us that her fidget jewelry journey truly just started as a way to make getting dressed in the morning more fun. She loved that her jewelry made her feel confident and allowed her to express who she truly is. From there, it blossomed into so much more.

"It's hard to put into words because when I look at my jewelry now, I don't JUST see rings and necklaces. I see memories, friendships, milestones, and a version of myself that has grown so much over the last few years. For me, that's what makes it truly special."

CONQUERing has helped Allenah step out of her comfort zone and meet people she likely never would have otherwise. It's given her confidence to take control over her life and has helped her find a community of people that truly care for one another.

What Fidget Jewelry Do You Gravitate Toward?

Of course, we needed to know if there were any pieces Allenah finds herself gravitating toward and which, of her over 200 element collection, are her favorites.

She told us that in any given week, we would likely notice the same few pieces making an appearance over and over again. She almost always has her ViaDeco™ Ring Band as part of her stack. She also called out a few elements that she really enjoys styling:

Her favorite pieces differ slightly from the pieces she finds herself regularly styling, with the exception of the ViaDeco™ Ring Band. Her 1111 Angel Numbers CrossBar™ is her all-time favorite. She told us it was gifted to her and holds a lot of personal meaning.

She was one of our testers for the ear cuff and told us it's one her favorite pieces to style! Keep an eye out to get your own ear cuff in the near future. She also loves the Moonstone Cushion element and her MiraLink™ Necklace

At the end of the day, she really feels an attachment to her collection as a whole. She told us she couldn't imagine her collection missing any of the elements she owns.

Dare to Experiment with Jewelry Styling

Allenah left us with some final pieces of advice that we think will really resonate with the CONQUERing community. If there is one takeaway Allenah wants you to take from this blog, it's to not be afraid to make your jewelry your own.

"One of my favorite things about CONQUERing is that there isn't a 'right' way to wear it. Mix colors you wouldn't normally put together. Wear as many rings as you want. Stack your necklaces, switch your elements every day, or wear the same favorites all week. It's your collection, so let it reflect you."

She also gave a nice shoutout to the CONQUERing community. She mentioned that when she's feeling uninspired, she turns to the community to see how they style their pieces and what their styling ideas are.

In the words of Allenah, don't overthink it. Jewelry is supposed to be fun, so let it be fun!
