Decades Challenge: Meet the Model (Kaya)

The Decades Styling Series was a success! The photoshoots and video content steadily released on CONQUERing’s Instagram and TikTok.

The Decades Styling Series was a challenge where three stylists chose a decade and were given a surprise decade to style using pieces from a thrift store and CONQUERing fidget jewelry. Three models then showcased the looks the stylists created! 

The final looks for all six decades were captured in a professional photoshoot and were featured on CONQUERing's Instagram. Behind-the-scenes video content was featured on TikTok as well! Each stylist and each model were also featured on The Conquerer Blog to learn more about the amazing people who participated in the challenge. 

The next model we'd like to introduce you to is Kaya. 

Meet the Model: Kaya

Kaya was one of the models we hired to participate in the Decades Styling Series. Kaya has modeled CONQUERing pieces before for our website and social media content. 

We loved working with Kaya on other photoshoots and were thrilled that she was eager to participate in the challenge. 

We asked her a few questions to learn more about her experience as a model, advice for anyone looking to get into modeling, and where she sees her future going! 

How Did You Begin Your Career as a Model?

Kaya began her modeling career years ago and has modeled with CONQUERing for many of our campaigns.

The Decades Styling Series was another opportunity for Kaya to further her career and work with new stylists. She did an amazing job modeling the two different decades for the stylists she was paired with for the challenge. 

Where Do You See Your Career Going?

Kaya is focused on growing her career and expanding her network. 

She focused on the experience of getting to work with new people in the Decades Styling Series, "I love any opportunities to work with new photographers and brands. I just hope I keep getting to collaborate with others in the creative community and grow my skill set."

We do not doubt that Kaya will continue getting to work with new people and stay connected to those in the creative community! She has an incredibly bright future ahead and will continue to grow stronger as a model. 

Any Advice for Readers Looking to Get into Modeling?

Modeling can be a tricky industry to navigate. Knowing what type of modeling you want to do and what brands you want to work with can make it hard to figure out where to start. Kaya shared wonderful advice for our readers who are looking to get into modeling. 

Regarding knowing where to start, Kaya said, "I recommend reaching out to art students if you want to get into modeling, you can both benefit and learn from each other." We love this advice. Being able to help each other and learn from one another aligns with CONQUERing's mission. 

Kaya also shared advice on the act of modeling. 

"Practice fluid body movements, different facial expressions, and remember a large part is being your own manager. It is important to prioritize your safety and have strong boundaries when getting into modeling."

We appreciate Kaya's candid advice. Understanding what you're comfortable with and knowing how to set boundaries when breaking into the industry is a vital skill. Listen to your instincts and trust that you will make decisions that are right for you.

We love working with Kaya during our photoshoots and enjoyed seeing her thrive in the Decades Styling Series. We wanted to learn more about her favorite products and if she had any final parting words for us. 

First, we asked her if she has any favorite CONQUERing products. She said, "My favorite CONQUERing product is the ViaDeco ring base because it is so cute and can be used as a fidget."
