We use the phrase "conquer your day" a lot here at CONQUERing. Our founder named the brand CONQUERing because she wanted the jewelry to inspire people to feel empowered and conquer their days.
There's a lot of power behind those words. It's no easy feat to fully take control of your day. Being able to feel fulfilled and accomplished at the end of the day puts you one step closer to feeling empowered.
This post explores what it means to "conquer your day" and steps you can take to start taking control of your life.
What Does it Mean to Conquer Your Day?
Conquering your day can mean a lot of different things depending on the person. Essentially, if at the end of the day you feel like you accomplished your goals and you had a good day, then it's safe to say you conquered your day.
It could mean that you felt totally in control for the entire day. That you didn't let anyone push you around and you made choices that were for your benefit.
It could also mean that you ended the day feeling fulfilled. You got everything done that you set out to and you did things that made you feel happy. Maybe you had a particularly hard day and you're proud of yourself for making it through.
When we say, "conquer your day," we mean that you feel like you really lived. You didn't skate through and act as a passive member in your own life. As you get into bed, ready to put a close to the day, you take a breath and feel really proud of yourself.
How to Conquer Your Day?
Now that you know what it means to conquer your day, let's talk about how you do it.
There's not really a right way to conquer your day. Again, it will differ from person to person depending on what your priorities are. This means the steps you take to reach your end goals might be pretty specific to you.
There are, however, a few things you can do throughout the day that set you up for success so you're able to do everything you want to. The first thing you should do actually starts the night before. Getting a good night of rest that makes you feel refreshed and energized is one of the best things you can do to conquer your day.
From there, the morning is the next crucial part that can make or break your day.
How to Conquer Your Morning? 5 Steps to Have a Successful Day

If you're not a morning person, or you feel like you don't have enough time in the morning before your day really begins, it can be hard to switch up your routine and add things in that are going to help you have a good day.
These 5 steps are easy to add to your morning routine and will make a noticeable difference in how your day goes:
- Eat breakfast. You've probably heard a million times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That's because it's true. Breakfast gives you energy, helps improve focus, and can improve your mood. This doesn't have to be a full spread—although if you have the time, more power to you. Yogurt, granola, and berries is an easy breakfast to make that gives you a lot of energy to conquer your day.
- Drink water. If you're like me, the first beverage you probably want to drink in the morning is coffee. Coffee is a natural diuretic which can leave you feeling dehydrated after drinking it. Getting some water in first can help counteract those effects. It's also a great way to kick start your digestive system.
- Stretch your body. Stretching is a great way to wake up in the morning and get your body moving. Some easy stretches like downward dog and child's pose are great for shaking off sleepiness and making you feel relaxed.
- Map out your goals. Make a list of a few things you hope to accomplish for your day. This could be something as simple as getting through your work agenda or complimenting a stranger. You'll feel more fulfilled at the end of the day when you accomplish what you set out to.
- Prep what you need. Don't underestimate the importance of prep. Think about what you have to do for the day. Do you have a big meeting that you're nervous for? If so, run through the presentation a few times before you leave to give yourself some peace of mind. Other prep that can make or break your day would be packing a lunch, making your bed, and making sure you have everything you need before you leave for the day.
From then on, the rest of your day is up to you. There are going to be things out of your control that throw a wrench in your day, that's just a fact of life. When you prepare yourself in the morning for the things you can control, you're better equipped to handle life's curveballs.
What Makes Your Day Great?
Another approach to take for conquering your day is to think of what happens in a day that you would consider great. Is it getting a sweet treat with friends? Calling your family? Doing something nice for a stranger?
You might start to notice patterns of things you do and things that happen to you when you have a day you deem great. Think of what those patterns are and try to replicate them as much as you can.
Unfortunately, not every day is going to be great. There are going to be times when you have bad days or you come home and feel like you didn't accomplish anything. Sometimes, just getting through the day is an accomplishment.
Be kind to yourself and remember that tomorrow is always a new day with new possibilities. If you have more good days than bad in a year, it's safe to say you're conquering life.
