Gentle Pisces

What is the Pisces Star Sign's Dates? 

If you're new to astrology, you might not know what your star sign is. To determine what your star sign is, you'll need to know which star sign's date range your birthday falls between. 

Pisces birth dates fall between February and March. Specifically, if you were born between February 20th and March 20th, you are a Pisces (fun fact: I am a Pisces)! 

Pisces is symbolized by two fish. In mythology, the two fish are swimming in opposite directions but are tied together by a rope. Some believe that this represents a Pisces inability to separate reality from fantasy. 

Pisces is the last of the water signs, which explains why this sign is very sensitive and emotional. Pisces is governed by Neptune—Neptune influences the draw that this sign feels toward art and music.

What is the Personality of a Pisces?

There are many personality traits associated with Pisces that influence what their personality is. Some of these traits can be seen as strengths, while others might be perceived as weaknesses. 

Some of the personality traits of the Pisces zodiac sign that are viewed as strengths are: 

• Empathetic. Pisces are known for being incredibly empathetic and compassionate. They know what it's like to feel hurt and betrayed and do everything in their power to ensure they never inflict those feelings on others. A Pisces will always be there to listen to you and talk through your feelings. 
• Creative. Pisces are one of the most creative zodiac signs. They have a tendency to daydream a lot which contributes to their creative-nature. They don't believe that any idea is too big or too outrageous which leads to some of the most beautiful creations. 
• Gentle. This star sign is known for being kind and gentle. Pisces are typically really good with kids and animals because of their gentle nature. They have natural care-giving tendencies so if you're ever going through a tough time, a Pisces will be there to take care of you. 

While there are so many other great traits that make up the personality of a Pisces, there are also traits that can be seen as weaknesses: 

• Detached from reality. While daydreaming leads to great ideas and a lot of creativity, it also causes this sign to be detached from reality at times. It can be hard to get a Pisces to leave their dream world and come back to reality. Their tendency to escape can be frustrating when it's time to have hard conversations or deal with what the reality of a situation is. 
• Deeply emotional. It is by no means a weakness to be emotional or to really feel your emotions. Pisces, however, feel their emotions to the max and tend to act rashly due to the emotions they feel. This can sometimes lead to a Pisces lashing out or saying things they don't mean in the heat of the moment. 
• Self-pitying. Pisces spend a lot of the time in their own head. This can cause them to create scenarios or conjure negative emotions when nothing triggered them. This can lead to a tendency to self-pity and feel like everyone is against them. 
  

These strengths and weaknesses are what make a Pisces who they are. These personality traits also influence a Pisces' compatibility with other star signs. 

Who is a Pisces' Soulmate and Enemy? 

All twelve star signs have distinct personality traits that are ruled by different elements. This can influence the levels of compatibility they have with other signs. 

Soulmate. Fellow water sign, Cancer, makes a great match for a Pisces. Cancers are also deeply emotional signs and can understand where a Pisces is coming from when they express how they're feeling. Both signs are sympathetic towards the other and make each other feel seen. 

Enemy. On the other hand, Pisces and Leos typically do not get along with one another. Leos are bold and outgoing which is a turnoff for a Pisces that likes alone time and doesn't like to be in the spotlight. A Leo might struggle to understand why a Pisces is upset or what triggered an emotional outburst.
