As we near Thanksgiving and the holiday season, you might be getting in the mood to think about what you're grateful for. People tend to get more sentimental at this time of year and practice gratitude more frequently.

We hope that this post inspires you to bring that energy into your everyday life. This time of year is the perfect time to start incorporating gratitude into your daily routine.

We've offered a few tips and tricks on how you can easily practice gratitude every day. We shared a few products that serve as perfect reminders to do your practice!

5 Ways to Start Your Gratitude Practice

It might sound like a lot to change up your routine. You likely are already dealing with a lot and don't want to switch things up. Hear us out—the below practices will only take up a few minutes of your day. Some of them don't even require you to change your established daily routines.

  1. Keep a gratitude journal. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, you could even do this on your laptop or other electronic devices if you don't have a physical journal handy. Set aside 5-10 minutes every day to write down what you're grateful for. Journaling is a great way to encourage a gratitude-focused mindset!
  2. Share your gratitude with others. This doesn't require you to change your daily routine at all. When you're at work and a coworker does something to help you out, make a point to express your thanks to them. When you're at home, take the time to let the people you live with know that you're grateful for them. It can even make someone's day to share a quick text expressing how you feel about them. Sharing also encourages others to start practicing gratitude in their own lives.
  3. Keep a gratitude jar. You can use a jar you already own. You will need to cut up slips of paper and have something to write with on hand. When you pass the jar, make a point to write something down that you're grateful for and drop it in. When you're having a bad day, or losing sight on what matters to you, take some slips out to remember what you've felt gratitude towards in the past.
  4. Incorporate a meditation practice. Clearing your mind and getting to a place of peace and calmness is a great time to practice gratitude. It puts you in the right headspace to avoid any distractions and to really focus on what you're thankful for. We prefer to do this in the morning to start your day with a positive attitude, or at night to release any negativity you were holding from the day before you go to sleep.
  5. Be present. This also doesn't require changing anything about your daily routine. When you're with others, make a point to be fully present with them. Be engaged when you're talking to them and give them your full attention. In doing so, you'll be thinking about all the reasons you're grateful to be with them and how they postiviely impact your life.

Little Gratitude Reminders

If you need a daily reminder to be more grateful, or would like to share a gift to a friend or a loved one to remind them they're appreciated, we recommend these products!

Breathe Element

The first product we think serves as a great reminder of gratitude is our Breathe Element. It's unfortunately impossible to completely avoid stress and negativity in our daily lives. It's easy to get caught up in stressors and lose sight of what's really important to you.

This element serves as a reminder to breathe when you start to feel overwhelmed. When you're taking those breaths and calming yourself down, make an effort to also think about what's good in your life. Think about the things and people you're grateful for to get through those moments of stress.

Faith Element

The next product we think aligns with gratitude practices is the FAITH Element. When we created this design, we wanted it to serve as a reminder to focus on the greater plan in life.

When you get bogged down by work, school, or life in general, we want this element to encourage you to return to what truly matters to you. When you wear this element, make a point to keep your focus on the good and what gives you purpose.

Focus Element

We think the FOCUS Element will be really powerful to wear when you're doing gratitude exercises. As we mentioned in our tips, it's important to be present when you're thinking about what you're grateful for. You don't want your mind to wander to your never-ending to-do list or things that are causing you discomfort.

This element will serve as a reminder to fully commit to your practice. It can also be your reminder to stay present in the moment when you're with others—to really focus solely on them.

Grateful Element

This one is an obvious choice, but the Grateful Element simply MUST be discussed when we're talking about gratitude. When you wear this element, gratitude will always be front of mind.

Make it a practice to think about one thing you're grateful for when you look down at the element. That can be an easy way to incorporate a practice into your daily life if none of the above tips worked for you.

Kunzite Crystal Element

We also thought it would be helpful to recommend a couple of crystal elements that have properties aligned with gratitude practices.

The first crystal element we recommend is kunzite. Kunzite is associated with compassion, enlightenment, intuition, and inner peace. It is believed to promote feelings of calmness during times of stress. When you take the time to calm down throughout the day, make a point to also think about what offers you relief when you're feeling overwhelmed.

Moonstone Crystal Element

Finally, we think moonstone aligns well with practicing gratitude. Moonstone is associated with happiness, abundance, good fortune, and new beginnings. Many believe that this crystal can help one embrace change and accept new starts.

Those things can cause you to lose sight of what you're grateful for. Moonstone could help with transitional periods of life, easing tensions you might be feeling. You can then focus on feeling grateful for new opportunities, instead!

Be Thankful Year Round

We hope that you feel inspired to incorporate gratitude exercises into your daily life. When you think about what you're thankful for this holiday season, think about making it a practice year round.
