Pro tip: The easiest way to utilize your magnifying glass is on a ring band. This way, you can easily remove the entire ring and lay it flat on the surface you're trying to see better. The magnifying glass works one-way only, so make sure the flat side is facing the surface, while the domed side is facing you. Slowly slide the ring across the surface as you read. Typically, the element won't lay parallel to the surface, we recommend tipping the closer side down so the element is angled towards you as shown in the product photos.

Pretty, but not useful for magnifying

I have trouble reading fine print and I've got a small magnifying glass on a necklace that has occasionally been useful. Unfortunately, this is slightly to small to be useful for reading and it's hard to hold it steady. The look for wearing is kind of cool, though. I suppose if you have hairy fingers or finger tattoos you might have interesting results. It's very easy to smudge the glass with fingerprints, which is a downside for fidgeting.
